As a member of Soccer Manager you have a choice of competing in two 게임 세계 types, being either 표준 게임 월드 or 커스텀 게임 월드.

표준 게임의 세계 consist of several 게임 세계 types: 영어 선수권 대회, 유럽​​ 축구 선수권 대회, 세계 선수권 대회, and several other country specific championships, for example Spanish Championship.

사용자 지정 게임 세계 are bought and created by members of the Soccer Manager community. The creator can decide on the format and also the rules for this 게임 세계.

A 게임 세계 can be permanently closed at the end of a season if it has one or less managers and it is administered by the SMFA. If a 게임 세계 is due to be closed then a warning message will be displayed within My Home.

Occasionally a 게임 세계 will be shut down to conduct maintenance. This maintenance is usually brief to try and minimise disruption. Once this maintenance has been carried out the 게임 세계 will reopen.
